Garage lettings

Service Outline

The council owns garages throughout the borough, on private streets and in housing estates. We rent these to tenants, leaseholders and private individuals.

The garages can also be used for storage purposes. We offer value for money, flexibility and freedom.

In exceptional circumstances we will allocate out of priority and date order, e.g. for persons in receipt of mobility/disability allowances.

Waiting lists for garages are managed by the area housing offices. Please apply online to register your interest.

Charge

Garage rates start from £18.62 per week, prices may vary depending on whether there is electricity or water supplied, or if there is a car park space included.

How do I apply?

You can apply online or you can request an application form directly from your local Area Housing Office or One Stop Shop. Please note we may carry out a credit check. Advance rent of four weeks and a refundable deposit of £100 is requirement for al new lettings.
