Crime prevention advice

Southwark Council, the police and partners in the community are working hard to keep you safe.

We all have a responsibility to help prevent crime by making sure that we take precautions to protect ourselves and our property. There are lots of ways you can help keep Southwark safe too.

  • Become a StreetLeader and help keep you area cleaner, greener and safer.
  • Volunteer your time and help families and young people in the borough.
  • If you are a witness of crime or antisocial behaviour find out what help and support is available for you.
  • Help keep your area safe and have fun, join the junior community wardens. For further information on becoming a junior community warden email keep.safe@southwark.gov.uk.
  • Don't put up with it, report antisocial behaviour in your area from nuisance neighbours and abandoned cars to graffiti and dangerous dogs.
See below for some more useful advice and tips.
