Our Cycling Strategy: Cycling for everyone

We want more people cycling in Southwark, and we’re committed to making our streets more attractive and safer to cycle on, with less traffic and large vehicles. In June 2015, we adopted our new Cycling Strategy. This provides details of how we plan to invest in cycling in Southwark. The improvements we will deliver for cycling will make Southwark a better place for all of us.  To read the Cycling Strategy please click here.

We learnt a lot from the draft Cycling Strategy consultation. We will continue to talk to you about how we can make our streets more attractive and safer for cycling. To read our consultation reports or a summary of the reports please click here.

To find out more about what schemes we are currently consulting on please visit the Consultation Hub.

Demand and studies

We are committed to building our evidence base and sharing our findings. Through studies such as the 2013 Cycle Demand Study and our work into cycle hire expansion, we know where the demand for cycling is. Our consultation also helped us identify where we need to prioritise our investment and where we need more knowledge. To read our studies please click here.
