Support for parents  

We can provide you with information and advice about assessment, statements and reviews.  

If your child is under assessment or has a statement we will allocate a named caseworker to deal with the arrangement and keep you informed of the proccess.

The government produces a guide for parents to explain the legislation and the responsibilities of schools and the council.  You can download a copy.  

Parent partnership service  

Making a decision about your child's education is a worry for all parents, but can seem particularly complex if your child has special needs.

Advisory centre for education (ACE) is an independent telephone advice centre on SEN and exclusion, bullying and admission appeals.
