There are loads of fun activities taking place across Southwark - there's something for everyone.
Christmas and New Year

Southwark has six youth clubs dotted around the borough. Offering a variety of activities from music and movie making to day trips.
Have an outdoor adventure at one of Southwark’s seven adventure playgrounds – have a kick about with mates, fly through trees on tyre swings, climb up boulders or get creative at a craft workshop.
There are 17 children's centres in Southwark offering lots of activities for new parents, babies and toddlers. Enjoy messy play, develop speech at chatter time or enjoy a sing-along. Some activities are low or no cost ad it's a great place to meet new parents and develop your child's social skills.

Parks and open spaces
With 130 parks and open green spaces, Southwark is one of the greenest boroughs in London - great for a game of cricket, slam dunking a basketball, enjoying a sprint or having a fun picnic with your family and friends.
BMX Track London
The BMX Track London is a national standard BMX race track offering a varying programme of use to suit riders of all abilities, whether you are a strider or a professional BMX rider, there are sessions and programmes to suit everyone.
There are 12 libraries in Southwark offering lots of exciting and fun activities for all ages ranging from reading challenges to book clubs and so much more. Pop down to your local library and find out what's going on near you.
Sailing and water sports
The Surrey Docks water sports centre offers the entire Royal Yachting Association dinghy programme. Courses range from beginners to instructor level for adults and juniors from eight years.
Tideway Sailability offers those with limited mobility the opportunity to enjoy sailing and being out on the open water. There are hoists available to enable people to be safely and gently moved between wheelchair and boat. For many people with disabilities, driving a vehicle is not possible, consequently the freedom and independence gained when sailing autonomously can be a very fulfilling and liberating experience.
