A Public View of the ‘Lost Zoo’
August & September 2016

This will be an outside display of archival materials that narrate the story of the Lost Zoo. It will involve historical pictures of the first Giraffes in Great Britain and pictures of the spectacular events such as the Battle of Trafalgar which was recreated in the historical zoo which was housed in the site of the park.

So come and have a walk along this wall of history!   

The Lost Zoo: a promenade through history
9 September 2016
7.00pm - 8.30pm

A lantern procession of animals made in three local primary schools will bringing to life the lost animals of the Royal Surrey Zoological Gardens. The event will be a really family friendly with music, African drumming and actors that will animate and bring to life the fantastic story of our local history of the ‘Lost Zoo’.

This is a free community event and open to all!

So come dressed as an animal and take a promenade through the past!

Pasley Park Festival Fete
10 September 2016
12pm to 5pm

This local festival day will see the park animated with music, games, foods of the world, art workshops, stalls, and the famous dog show.

This event is free and there is something for everyone!

It is the chance for us to come together and celebrate the diversity and vibrancy of the local community.

Getting there

Bus – 12, 35, 40, 45, 68, 148, 171, 176 and 468 stopping at East Street - 5 minutes walk

Tube – Kennington – 5 minutes walk  

Bike - Bike parking is available near the park

All events are outdoors and take place in a public park with flat level access made up of tarmac roads and grass areas.
